THE GENERATION OF GLITTER

There is a fracture in the fabric of this age
not of speech, but of sight.
The L that once stood for legacy, learning, and lasting value
has been mistaken for the R,
the restless hunger for recognition.

So crass is paraded as class,
and the loud are mistaken for the wise.

We have become the Glitter Generation
where every sparkle is treated as gold,
where the surface blinds the soul,
and reflections are mistaken for reality.

We chase the shimmer instead of the source,
forgetting that true gold does not scream for attention
it reveals itself only after enduring fire.

In a world obsessed with the light that hits it,
we have forgotten to ask the only question that matters:
Does it shine because it is gold…
or because the angle was right for a moment?

Until we learn to see beyond the glitter,
we will keep trading diamonds for dust
and calling it destiny.

A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

Yo, just read that poem. It’s like they’re saying we all got so wrapped up in the sparkle, we forgot what true gold actually is. Lol, reflection much?

Pretending to be something we're not is so draining. The real gold isn't in the flashy stuff.

Hey there, feeling the call to be myself? Sometimes we get lost in the spotlight, chasing that flash of attention instead of finding our true glow. Remember, real shine comes from within. What's your take on this?
