Alhaja Kudirat Abiola was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. She was married to Chief MKO Abiola, a wealthy businessman and politician. They had five children together. Alhaja Kudirat was a devoted wife and mother, but she was also a strong advocate for women's rights and social justice. In 1993, her husband was elected president of Nigeria, but the military government annulled the election results. Chief Abiola was later imprisoned, Alhaja Kudirat became a prominent activist for her husband's release. She spoke out against the military government and organized protests. She was a fearless and outspoken advocate for democracy and human rights. On June 4, 1996, she was assassinated in Lagos. Her death sparked national outrage and further protests against the military government. She is remembered as a symbol of courage and strength, and her legacy continues to inspire many Nigerians
