This book is an interesting read.
These past days I've been trying to get back to reading because I miss it. Reading is one of the hobbies that keeps me sane and just sitting in a quiet place inside your room, a bus (regardless of the noise around), or just anywhere is a great feeling. Playing your favorite music in a low volume adds some interesting layer to the enjoyment of reading a good book.
Chris Carter did a great job with description, the actions, dialogues and the whole storyline was great.
I was kept at the tip of my toes in almost all part of the book.
I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read the book yet but I honestly wasn't expecting the big reveal.
I had a hunch about who the killer was. I had some people in mind actually, but when the killer was revealed 😳, I put my phone down to process it all because it wasn't processing at some point 😂😂
I love Robert Hunter, his critical and fast thinking has me fawning over him🥰. I love Garcia also and wanted to cry when I thought he was going to die 😭.
I feel like I could relate with Hunter. I don't have insomnia but these days I'm like him every time.
Tired body with an active mind. Your mind just keep running but your body needs the rest.
I also love his consistency in his job. He's just 🥰
Overall, the book is nicely written and I've started the second book already 'The Executioner'
This review is shorter than I expected but I'll do better next time.
If you'd like me to review a book, you can comment which and I'll do my best to write a nice review for it.
Genres I read are romance (nothing that's rated 18+ or LGBTQ or historical or fantasy), thriller & suspense, psychological thriller, sci-fi, young adult, teen fiction (will share if there's anyone I find interesting)
Thank you for reading and GOD bless 🤗
