The Bleeding Land

Rich soul on a rich soil
Black Earth that birthed you
The trees swayed happily, with their roots firmly attached to the ground
The Olives blossomed
Their rich oil nourishing your hair and your heart
The white teeth of your people glistening under the Sun
The radiating sun that kisses your skin so gently
The greens on you flourished, you were a haven for your people.
But all that changed abruptly
Scary whitsles from above, like the cry of blood sucking demons rained on you
Your kindness brought about your death
And now your land bleeds Red
Crimson Red, the red of your infants
The red of your children
Wailing, running they have no place to hide
The demons are fast and blood thirsty
They're never satisfied
Their gluttony for blood consumes them
They ravage all that they can and more
The Olives are dead, the Olives if your heritage
Your neighbors aren't spared either
The demons are on a roll
Your tears and pleas aren't falling on deaf ears
The earth hears you, she mourns with you
She's tired of swallowing her children
The waters are in fury
But one day you'll be free, you'll get what is yours back
And while the world may ignore your pain
Remember that from the Rivers to the Sea Palestine shall be free again.
