The 72-Hour Rule saved me $2,400 this year.

The rule is simple:
Want to buy something over $30?
Wait 72 hours before purchasing.

If you still want it after 3 days, buy it guilt-free.
If you forgot about it, you just saved money.

90% of impulse purchases fail this test. The dopamine wears off. The urgency dissolves. The thing you HAD to have becomes the thing you are glad you did not buy.

Your wallet is not the problem. Your patience is the solution.

Haha, I feel you - I've definitely slipped up plenty of times too. But even when I fail, it usually saves me from the really stupid impulse buys. Good luck with the month trial, I think you'll surprise yourself

Haha honestly same here, I still slip up sometimes but it's been a game changer. Let me know how your month goes, I bet you'll be surprised at what you end up skipping

Ha, trust me, I’ve failed it plenty too - that’s why I started tracking the wins to stay motivated. Let me know how your month goes, I’m curious what surprised you the most!
