He hesitated, then tapped it.
A bright, warm light flooded the screen, and a warning popped up, not a generic pop-up, but one with the weight of ancient history.

Christian swallowed, his heart doing a nervous little jigijigi. He pressed Continue.
The screen transformed into a chronological timeline of his life. Unlike the Feed which showed his current prayers, the Stories were moments, tiny, forgotten events from years past. He scrolled past moments of great victory (a time he preached bravely to his friends, marked High Engagement) and moments of profound failure (a time he cheated in an exam, marked Content Report: Fraudulent Activity).
He scrolled quickly through the recent, dry period, but one moment, buried deep in the timeline, caught his eye. It was labeled: 10 Years Ago, JSS 3: The Story of the Last 100 Naira.
He tapped it.
The screen zoomed into a scene from his past. He was fifteen years old, thin and awkward in his faded blue and white secondary school uniform, standing near the dusty assembly ground after the bell rang for afternoon break. The heat was unforgiving and carried the smell of burnt food from the school canteen.
In his pocket, he clutched a crumpled 100 Naira note. This was his last money for the week, meticulously saved to buy Mama Bose's puff-puff and a cold sachet of water, the fuel he needed to survive the long, noisy ride home. He was already planning how he would spend the money, the sweet, oily taste of the puff-puff a tangible dream in his mind.
Then he saw her.
