Knowing When and How to Speak
Being a spokesperson is not about speaking first; it is about speaking right.
If you speak for any political office, you must understand timing and control. Not every issue needs your voice, and not every moment is the right time to respond.
The real skill is knowing how to speak and when to speak.
Speaking too quickly can lead to mistakes. Speaking without full understanding can create confusion. And speaking at the wrong time can worsen a situation that needed calm.
At the same time, delaying too much or staying silent when clarity is needed can also create doubt; this is where judgement matters.
A good spokesperson studies the situation, understands the message, and chooses the right time, tone, and words before speaking.
You don’t need to respond to everything; you don’t need to prove anything. What matters is that when you speak, it is clear, correct, and necessary.
Control your words. Respect timing and understand the moment.
That is what defines a true spokesperson.
