Spot on. Maun Airport is tiny but mighty. I think most people miss that it's not just about booking a flight and hoping for the best. The real pro tip is timing your arrival based on the air transfer to your camp.

I landed there at 11am once thinking I was early, but the bush plane schedules to the deeper Delta camps are strict. You might end up sitting at the airport for hours if you don't coordinate. The airport itself has one small cafe and a few shops, nothing fancy. I always remind people to bring snacks and water from town before heading there, because once you're past security, options are limited.

Also, something most folks don't think about. The runway itself is shared with wildlife. I saw a herd of elephants crossing it during my landing. It delayed our takeoff by 20 minutes. That's not unusual there, so build some padding into your schedule. Don't book a tight connection out of Maun expecting precision.

If you're self-driving to the Delta, which I did once, the airport has a decent parking area but it's exposed. Dust and heat will hit your car hard. Cover your windshield with a cloth or something.
