I pray for solace
I pray for peace of mind when days feel short
Where thoughts don't collide with memories
And facts intertwine with premonitions

I pray for guidance
I hope that someday I'll turn towards the past
Trace the path I endeavored towards
And see the light shining as bright

I pray for sustenance
I turn to the heavens, favor and grace be upon me
That I may live, laugh, and love, not just exist
Nourishing both body and soul

But most of all, I pray for balance
Stability as I tiptoe through life's intricate passages
That the waves of conformity may not knock me down
Forever be at peace with the decisions I make
