SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY WELCOMES EL-RUFAI, SAYS NO TIME TO WASTE

The Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in the 2023 general elections, Adewole Adebayo, has welcomed a former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to the party.
El-Rufai had earlier today resigned his membership of the All-Progressives Congress, APC citing a growing misalignment between his personal values and the current direction of the party as the primary reason for his decision.
However, taking to X, Adebayo expressed his excitement, stating that El-Rufai’s entry strengthens the party’s mission to rescue Nigeria from what he described as years of poor governance and economic decline.
He noted the party’s commitment to fulfilling Chapter 2 of Nigeria’s Constitution, which addresses fundamental human rights, social justice and economic development.
Adebayo urged like-minded democrats and nationalists to join the party’s movement for national restoration, saying good politics begets good governance.
