in the depth of sea beneath a rock
i bury my pale skeleton

to not let the wind gossip its hue,
its charcoal grey, to friends and foes

that do not sing swarthy skeleton
but sneer at it, voice their fleer

my skeleton has crimson feet,
it charcoal grey merit scorn

i lay it continual beneath the rock,
in depth of sea, till the sun sink down!

That's a heavy poem. Skeletons always make me think of the transience of life and how we're all just dust in the end.

I get a sense of sorrow here. It’s like someone’s trying to hold on to something meaningful but it just fades away beneath the sea.

Thanks for reading. The poem is open to interpretation. it may also mean the secret hide from others, if possible, till death because it is shameful

Burying my pale skeleton deep beneath the waves, hoping the wind won't tell its story. Charcoal grey, a steadfast choice despite swarthy enemies. Crimson feet guiding me through the night, buried deep in the sea till the sun sinks down.

The poem makes me think about the weight of time and legacy we carry. Burying your skeleton beneath the sea feels both literal and metaphorical, like a silent prayer waiting to be laid low by life's waves.
