SHE'S NOT YOUR WOMAN
she's not your woman,
the one who thirsts
much for wàhálà and
scare not of brouhaha,
.
she's not your woman,
the one you hid in a
cupboard, yet fries
popcorn in a silver
cauldron,
.
she's not your woman,
one whose bride price
you paid, now raising
pectus and daring your
face with fisticuffs,
.
no, she can't be your
woman, one -to whose
parents you prostrated,
now, underrated and
gets you so frustrated,
.
she can't be your woman,
one whose knot you tied,
and now becomes wild,
because her income
gave her a luxurious ride,
.
she can't be your woman,
no matter pretty the nature
and stature, if not nurtured
with good home culture,
she's not your woman.
