CHAPTER ONE.
Zahira known for her bright spirit and joyful laughter. She was loved by everyone around her. Her marriage to Ahmed, a kind and talented craftsman, was a symbol of hope and love in their community. Many admired their strong bond, which was as enduring and steadfast as the mountains that loomed in the distance.
But fate has a way of surprising people. One tragic night, everything changed when Ahmed was found dead in their home. He looked peaceful, almost as if he was just asleep. No one could explain why he had died, leaving a heavy shadow over Zahira's heart. And suddenly
Zahira’s once colorful life faded into dull shades of gray. Grief wrapped around her like a cold blanket, dragging her into deep sorrow. Her laughter turned to sobs, and her smiles became empty. Each breath felt like a struggle against the heavy weight of her loss.
Sitting in her dim room, Zahira trembled as she held a framed photo of Ahmed. The silence in the house felt unbearable, almost like it was closing in on her. Just a few weeks had passed since Ahmed's unexpected death, but the pain was already tearing at her soul. They said he had died peacefully in his sleep, but Zahira found no peace. Instead, chaos filled her mind, and her family was worried about her.
As she moved through the house, Zahira saw reminders of Ahmed everywhere: his favorite chair, pictures of their joyful times, and the smell of him lingering in the air. Each memory hurt, reopening wounds that seemed like they would never heal.
Zahira’s family exchanged worried looks, not knowing how to reach the Zahira they once knew. Her mother, Fatima, tried to encourage her to talk about her feelings, but Zahira’s responses were short and quiet, barely above a whisper.
In the following days, Zahira’s grief took over her life. She became a fragile version of herself, unable to eat, sleep, or find any comfort. Her family surrounded her with kind words and warm hugs, but nothing could break through the darkness surrounding her.
As time passed, Zahira’s behavior became more unpredictable. She would snap at her family one moment and then break down in tears the next. She stopped going outside, too scared to face a world that seemed to have moved on without Ahmed.
Her family’s concern grew deeper, but Zahira mask of grief hid secrets; secrets she couldn't bear to reveal.
