second chance
she ambled out,
in the night, without light
yet, not fraught by fright.
.
stood by stone edge, woven
arms across her chest. she
hoped for a second chance.
.
sober, for those number of
years wasted, romancing power,
fire and thunder.
.
sober, thought it was too
late to rise again, out of the
debris of her blunders.
.
sober. again -wished to go
back -ten-years younger, to
unwaste wasted time and days,
.
wished, for return of lost epoch, whilst yet, a golden floral, so charming and ranking.
.
sober, for the golden era she
let flew away. sober for the dew
which soften her kismet in vain.
.
her fears, drew by tears of her
of random affairs, and wished for poison to silence her memories.
.
she sighed, gazed at the sky.
the darkness cleaving above
told her it was night. it was late!
.
go and rest. you failed the test,
but you did your best. second
chance will find you in the morn.
