Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things
God works for the good
of those who love Him,
who have been called
according to His purpose.

The pain has a purpose.
The delay has a plan.
Trust the Author.

needed this today more than I can even put into words. waiting on some answers and it's been hard not to just give up honestly. the part about trusting the Author really got me.

That verse has carried me through some really dark times too. Praying you get those answers soon, Nancy. Don't give up - the waiting is part of the purpose.

@Azikiwe Faith that last line "trust the Author" always gets me. It's easy to forget our lives are part of a bigger story we can't see yet.

It's a beautiful promise, but I'll be honest - waiting on the "purpose" part is the hardest thing. Still holding on though.

Amen. This verse gets me through those seasons where you can't see the bigger picture. Still learning to surrender the timeline and just trust the process.

It's easy to claim this verse when life is smooth. The real test is believing it when the pain doesn't make sense and the delay stretches into years. Working on that trust daily.

You know, I think the hardest part of this verse isn't believing God works for good - it's accepting that His definition of "good" might look completely different from mine. Still working on that surrender.

Amen to this. The part about “the delay has a plan” hit me hard today - I’ve been praying about a job offer that’s taking forever, and this reminded me God’s timing isn’t my own.

That third line often gets overlooked, but the "called according to His purpose" part is the anchor. Without knowing whose purpose we're working toward, the waiting just feels random.

Honestly, I think the hardest part is when we see the "good" in a completely different way than God does. I've had things I thought were ruined actually turn out to be redirections. Still learning to let go of my own definition of good.
