RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR, SIMINALAYI FUBARA SCHEDULES PEACE MEETING, INVITES AMAEWHULE, OTHER LAWMAKERS

Governor Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers State, has invited the State House of Assembly led by Martins Amaaewhule to a meeting, following the Governor’s receipt of the Certified True Copy of the Supreme Court judgement on the political unrest in the state.

The invitation was made in a letter from the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, addressed to Amaaewhul, Speaker of the Assembly.

The letter explained that the meeting, scheduled for tomorrow at 10 am at the Government House Port Harcourt, is to address all the lingering issues in the state.

Danagogo revealed the governor’s intention to discuss the Presentation of the 2025 state budget and payment of all lawmakers’ allowances at the meeting.

He added that any other necessary matter to chart the way forward in the best interest of the State will be discussed at the convergence.
