I noticed something the other day. I was just sitting, doing nothing, and it felt… somehow wrong. Like I had forgotten something important. I even reached for my phone, it's not like there was anything to check sef, but being still started to feel uncomfortable.
It happens to you too, doesn't it?
We have made busy look like the right way to live. If you are always doing something, moving, replying, chasing the next thing, it means you are serious with your life. But the moment you slow down, even small, people start to look at you somehow. As if rest is something you should be ashamed of, just packaged politely.
So we keep going. Tired but moving. Drained but still showing up. We even start to wear it like a badge, like see me, I am working, I am trying oo. Meanwhile, inside, something is quietly asking for a pause.
The funny thing is, Many things we call “being busy" doesn't really matter. What matters are nott the endless messages or the long to-do lists.
They are the small things. Sitting with someone you like and talking about nothing. Laughing over something that does not even make sense.
And sometimes, I think about it like this. If everything finally goes quiet one day, it won’t be the work you remember first. It will be the moments you almost skipped because you thought you had more time.
