The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari has responded immediately to the affected people and pledged to take action and provide a sustainable solution to the mobile phone market community.
The efforts include:
1. Receiving the complaints of the mobile phone market committee directly to provide them with a lasting and sustainable solutions.
2. Emergency meeting with government representatives, the market committee to discuss on how to provide a lasting solution over the situation.
3. Promise to provide them with a lasting solution which includes providing them with a permanent site where they can run their own businesses in peace.
4. Meeting with chief commander of 27 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General Jo Ogbobe to ensure that investigations are carried out to take immediate action.
5. Speaking out loudly to prevent this from happening and highlighting the importance of the market to the good people of Potiskum local government area.
6. Paying a sympathetic visit to the market, and the victims who injured.
7. Promising to provide them with a modern, efficient and effective market in Potiskum local government area.
