Ice started forming on her open skin, and her knees began freezing to the fridge floor.
She quickly raised her knees, making sure she stayed in a squatting position so her flesh made no contact with the freezer surface.
She looked up, and merely seeing the yellow light in the freezer and the naked wire beside it made her heart feel like someone dropped it in a bowl of acid.
She stayed still since any movement from her might just get her electrocuted and no one will ever find her corpse.
All she can do is pray and hope for a mercifully journey to heaven __ or hell.
She has never felt this insane cold before, all her life.
The freezer got colder by the seconds, and her fear magnified with it.
She tried to close her eyes and shut out the episode trying to creep in, but she wasn't successful cos she fell into another episode immediately.
FLASHBACK ~ AGE ELEVEN*
Emory's dad embarked on his usual business trip early today, so it's just young Emory and her Ma in the house.
Mrs. Carson would have followed her husband, but leaving Emory in care of the maids is a task she finds cumbersome to do, so she just had to stay.
She's in the kitchen, her hair in a smooth french braid as she tried to make chocolate smoothie for Emory.
She has always liked the kitchen despite being from a rich family herself. She loves cooking.
Emory is in the living room, sitting on the couch with no care in the world as she watched her favorite movie (Titanic)
She watched it countless times already, and she never gets bored.
There are lots of half-eaten apples around her...her handiwork, then a mess of popcorn on the ground from her popcorn bowl.
She was already preparing herself to cry at the end of the movie again when a familiar form settled beside her.
She turned her neck to the side and blinked when she saw him.
Uncle Fred, her father's junior brother.
He has the handsome smile on his mischievous face as usual, and his eyes went to her small breasts again.
"Mind giving me some popcorn?" He dipped his hand into the bowl on her laps, but his second hand went to her bare thighs, rubbing them slowly.
Emory pushed his hands away, and the popcorn fell from her as she stood and rushed all the way into the kitchen.
When she got to the door, she hugged the frame and looked back at him.
"You belong to me, beautiful" he mouthed, and she smirked.

Emory let out her tears in the freezer, regretting all-over again.
She should have told her mother about it when uncle Fred started his strange habits, she shouldn't have kept it.
Maybe if she didn't, she wouldn't have gotten terribly hurt.
And now, she's about to die in this stupid freezer.
Maybe it's all for the best after all. Thank you very much.
She wiped her tears and was about to start another round when she noticed the coldness is gone.
It's not freezing in there anymore. She looked up and was shocked to see the yellow light is off.
Did her captor change his mind?
The freezer lid suddenly hissed open, and she was more shocked to see the face that appeared.
Omar!
"Here" he gave her an hand, and she took it quickly without thinking of the consequences.
He pulled her out of the freezer, and she almost fell, but he held her by the shoulders, stilling her.
"You ok?" He asked softly, and she looked up to his face.
He looks genuinely concerned, and another thing...
Why is she not getting triggered?
Why is she not feeling like vomiting right now when his hands are on her?
"You ok?" He asked again, bringing her out of her reverie.
"I'm fine" she replied, releasing herself from him, and that was when she noticed the freezer is already unplugged, and the lock is broken.
Even the room door is broken, and the slaughtered padlock is by the frame.
"Who locked you in here?" He asked.
"How did you find me?" She counter-asked.
"When I arrived at the park, I saw a black figure dragging something towards this building. The person was wearing a trenchcoat, and I was about to brush it off that it's probably one of the cleaners, then I saw your open car trunk and the fallen bag. I figured out it was you and traced it here." he explained.
"How did you break the door, the lock?" She asked again.
"I got the lock breaker from the storeroom of this bloc" he smiled, and she sighed.
"Who was that? If you have an enemy who locks you in a freezer, then you should be careful" he said.
"It might be one of you Titans, who knows? I mean... y'all once kidnapped my friend" she shrugged.
"That was...
He dragged his words as he rubbed his nape awkwardly with the sheepish smile.
"Why do you always let North bully you? Isn't she your junior?" She asked, walking out of the room.
"Oh...I.. it's not...
"Forget it" she cut him off.
"Ok" he replied, and she faced him.
"Exactly what I'm talking about. Don't you ever disagree?" She rolled eyes.
"You like tough guys?" He blinked.
"What are you talking about?" She smirked, and he laughed.
"Thanks for saving me, a lot" she said, and he nodded.
"It's my pleasure"
They left the bloc together and went back to the park to get their bags before leaving for the department.
After they left, Levi came out from somewhere in the park like Lucifer, taking off his helmet fast.
He actually arrived same time as Omar, and he followed Omar to the freezer room.
When Omar went to find the lock breaker, he already broke the padlock with a stone.
Basically, he's the one who broke it
He's also the one who unplugged the freezer.
He just had to leave and let Omar take the glory.
He took calculated steps to Emory's car.
The shoe prints left by the Vans of the abductor is still there, so he snapped it with his phone before heading for the department.

BM DEPARTMENT*
"Emz! So you're still alive?" Nina gasped when Emory showed up in the midst of students.
Almost all the department will be going for the trip, so dramas is a must.
"Why weren't you picking my calls?" Lizzy asked, adjusting her small messenger bag.
"You didn't reply my texts either" Rebekah added.
"I was kidnapped and locked in a freezer. Omar saved me" Emory replied straight.
"What!" The three chorused.
"Full gist when we arrive at Forte" Emory replied.
"No. You should spill it now" Nina insisted.
"Were you really locked in a freezer?" Rebekah asked.
"I wasn't smiling when i said it" Emory replied seriously.
"Who could have done that" Lizzy muttered fearfully.
"Hey, girls" Rain joined them suddenly.
"Rain!" Nina gushed, checking her out.
"Your style is a bit old-school, but it's still acceptable" she said.
"I know, right?" Rain laughed, and Rebekah and Lizzy joined the chats, but Emory's eyes are somewhere else.
Levi is just coming in with the i-will-kill-you look on his closed off face as he advanced towards his friends.
For a moment, the attention of all girls spiralled to him, and they began snapping secret pictures of him.
Levi never socializes, and he has never been to this yearly shit before, so they're probably surprised.
When their eyes met, Emory quickly looked away.
Shit! No.
She can't be caught staring, otherwise the prick might get delusional ideas.
She turned her back on him, and Levi smirked.
'I don't mind back shots' he thought.
That one is even more preferable.
"Dude! You actually came?" Hyce said loudly when he got to the guys.
"I always cum" Levi deadpanned.
"Damn you, you know what I mean bastard" Hyce made to grab him in an headlock, but a glare from Levi sent his hand back down.
Conrad laughed, resting his elbow on Levi's shoulder.
Levi immediately pushed him off, and he responded with a groan.
"So...what's going on? Why are you here? To protect Emory again? Thought you already threw away that mission" Conrad said.
"Plans change, sucker. I need you to find out the owner of these Vans" Levi sent the shoe prints picture to Conrad.
"On it" Conrad replied and started work immediately, on his phone.
Hyce suddenly sighted Isaac, and he didn't wait before striding straight to him, grabbing him by the arm.
"Hey"
"Hey!" Isaac jumped, looking startled.
"Did I startle you?" Hyce looks silly as he asked.
"Obviously" Isaac frowned.
"You aren't with Rain. Strange" Hyce said.
"Rain is with the girls for now" Isaac replied, looking uncomfortable.
"Need to get some air" he said, leaving hurriedly.
Hyce narrowed his eyes as he watched him leave.
The memory of him stripping at the club last night is so vivid in his head, so why is he still pretending?
"The latecomers can now come for their room numbers!" The lecturer in charge announced from the front, and Emory blinked.
"Y'all got your numbers already?"
"Yeah. I and Rain are roommates" Nina replied, waving her card.
"I and Lizzy are roommates too. We'd have taken for you, but it's not allowed, you have to take it yourself" Rebekah said.
Emory rushed forward, and unluckily for her, there are just three other latecomers.
Omar, Levi and Isaac.
Meaning... she's gonna get paired with one of the guys .
She should file a complaint, but the announcement came so the students began moving to the park for the drive to the airport.
She'd sort this out when they arrive at Forte, so she quickly picked a number and rushed back to join her friends.
Chadwick and North are the last to move out of the department, and it was North who turned off the lights.
"Can't we go against your newfound father? Seeing Emory's face alone is irritating me. We should kill her" she said.
"And I'm saying no again and again. You don't know the difference between torment and kill?" Chadwick faced her, and she grabbed his face in her palms.
She made to kiss him, but he pushed her chest, and hot breaths left her nostrils.
"You want me, and you want Banks too. Take a pick, will you?" He smirked.
"Nah, if I say I'll have the both of you, then I will" she replied.
"Intense" he replied, walking out.
She calmed her shoulders before going after him.
The drive to the airport took roughly ten minutes, and they went on board almost immediately.
Minutes after the plane took off, Levi got his system and clicked on email, tapping his father's name.
He typed a text.
Levi: She got kidnapped, locked in a freezer. Got rescued though, on the flight to Forte.
He emailed that, then he looked back.
Three seats away from him, Emory is sitting with Rebekah beside her, and they're both soundly asleep, wearing girly bunny hairbands, their heads resting on each other.
Even in her sleep, Emory still looks as feisty as ever, the expression never wears off ... It's like her second skin.
Her eyes opened slightly, and she'd have gone back to sleep, but immediately she saw him staring, she covered her face with her blanket, and he faced front.
He let out a small stolen smile before looking beside himself.
Hyce is right there, dozing off.
Conrad is sitting in front of them, probably watching porn... That dîck never gets tired of pu$$ies.
Levi got apple from the fruits tray, taking a large bite before getting his phone to stalk Emory's Instagram page again.

GRAND CASINO*
Immediately Master X received the email about Emory getting locked in a freezer from Levi, a wicked smile graced his face.
It only means Levi is back to doing his protection job.
So far he's protecting her, Chadwick will never have the upper hand.
His smile widened, but it disappeared when the keyword resounded in his head.
SHE GOT LOCKED IN A FREEZER.
Who could have done that?
He texted Levi back immediately.
Master X: Find out the culprit.
Hazzan came in that moment. "Reginald is here to see you" he announced.
Master X sent him off with a wave of his hand, and Uncle Reginald came in afterwards.
"Been long since you came here" Master X rested back leisurely.
"Why is Banks watching over that girl for you?" Reginald replied, sitting in front of him.
"You know her?" Master X furrowed his brows.
"She came to his house on Monday and ruined my dinner. I'd have brushed it off as nothing, but Banks stayed calm about everything. He's not the type who stands getting disrespected, so I did some digging. She's the girl from the rape case years ago. The one who was raped by Fred" Reginald said.
"You did a lot of digging then" Master X replied casually.
"I dunno what you're planning, but don't drag Banks into it, and leave the girl alone ok? She did nothing wrong" Reginald stood
"You came here to threaten me?" Master X chuckled, sounding humourless.
"Because I know you're always up to no good, Xavier!" Reginald fired back.
Master X looked up, his nose flaring.
"You have one minute to step out, or the rest of your days will remain pitch black. You know what that means" he said.
Uncle Reginald smirked before stepping out furiously.

FORTE ISLAND, 10:30PM*
While Terraverde island is like a city, Forte is a smaller version where rich people in Spain go to purge their frustrations.
It's surrounded with many water bodies, greenery and nature.
The plane landed thirty minutes ago, and they spent twenty minutes on the way here, so they've been in the island for ten minutes, each sorting out their rooms.
Rain and Nina located their room first, and immediately they came in, they dropped their bags on the ground and fell in bed together.
"Can't believe we're here" Nina exhaled.
"Mee too" Rain faced her.
"Are you sure you won't feel bad for leaving Isaac all of a sudden?" Nina asked.
"Nope, It was even his idea to talk to you girls, and I'm not cutting him off, ever" Rain replied.
"Cool, we should go see the others" Nina stood.
"Go on, I'll meet you" Rain replied, and Nina rushed out.
Rain entered the bathroom immediately.
She opened her mouth and inserted her pointer finger into her throat, vomiting everything she ate in the plane.
She rinsed her mouth and flushed it before leaving the bathroom.

Emory was still looking for her room when she came across Hyce in the crowd of students.
His grin is intact on his face till he got to her and inserted his hands in his pocket.
"Yunno you're the only one who talked shabbily to Banks and got away with it. No one ever called him motherfûcker without seeing blood" he said.
"Is that a compliment?" She frowned.
"Nope, an encouragement for you to do more. I'd like to see him get to the brim one day" he winked, and she chuckled.
She's aware of Hyce's carefree spirit, but they haven't really talked.
This is the first time, and she's finding him cool.
"Looking for your room? Number 30? It's down the hall ... Good luck" he winked again before stalking away.
Emory sighed before making her way down the hall, dragging her small bag behind.
She easily found it, but immediately she opened the door, her mouth went agape.
Levi is in the room.
He's sitting on his bed, and his upper body is naked as he removed the patch from his wounded chest.
He looked her way, and his favorite smirk sat on his lips immediately.
He's her...her roommate?
She's staying with him in this same room for all tomorrow?
Oh no.
She unconsciously let go of her bag, and the tyres made it roll to his side.
He caught the bag and threw it easily on the second bed__her bed, and she stayed glued to the door, watching him.
"Are you planning to sleep by the door all night?" His velvety voice made her blink, and she took one step inside.
Suddenly, he dragged down his shorts too, and her mouth widened as she quickly looked away.
His smooth naked backside is on her as he got a towel.
She was tempted to look at him again, and her eyes caught his firm @ss before he wrapped the towel on it.
He entered the bathroom after glancing shortly at her with his devilish eyes, and Emory bit her lip slowly, closing the door and resting her back on it.
She couldn't help but think...

"I wanna touch" she muttered, unconsciously biting her lip again.
