I’m listening to Dave at twilight tryna convince you to be my starlight,
Two trains in different stations but heading the same location,
I understand your mother’s caution but you need to get off probation,
She hates what she does but she needs it,
Somebody has to teach a leng some direction,
I can tell your heart is cold but it’s still beating,
Emotional suppression keeps you breathing,
Almost turned pagan but you keep believing,
I find no harm in a little living,
Jump from your nest and find out the sky is the limit,
Fly over Rome and keep it confidential,
Who would want to ruin the potential?
I’m calling you tryna make dinner reservations,
I want you to see me and make your own observations,
Listen to your mind cause your heart has some terms and conditions,
Show me your demons let me know your intentions,
Maybe our monsters can make a connection,
I do have a thing for psychodrama,
Lay it all before me in panorama,
Let me be your karma,
I look rough but inside I’m soft like shawarma,
No tattoos on my arms but my sleeves is where I wear my heart,
Not really the same but both to me are art,
I’ve got a flame tryna build firelight,
Mere sparks tryna build a shining light,
No southpaw I’m tryna hit it right,
Let us chill and be alright,
Forget your troubles for tonight,
A little fun won’t kill you tonight,
The setting sun shouldn’t go down alone,
The light is fading you shouldn’t be on your own,
Take a leap of faith to help you move on,
Tell me when you’re ready for the ball,
Let me remind you who you are,
I’m so connected with the woman you should be,
So just call me whenever you’re lonely,
I’ll be your friend whenever you want me.
