The senator representing Yobe South Senatorial District, Sen. Ibrahim Mohammad Bomai, has launched the distribution of 38,000 bags of rice to the good people of his constituency.
The assistance will go to 44 wards across the 4 local government areas of Southern Yobe State, following the senator’s efforts to help the Muslim community to observe the holy month of Ramadan peacefully.
The fact that the community is struggling with problems and lack of resources due to the worsening situation and economic threats, the distribution of the aid/support will go a long way in reducing the suffering and providing comfort to the Muslim community during this holy month of Ramadan.
The senator has been a prominent figure in helping the needy and poor in this area since before he became the senator representing this area; he has been helping people with basic necessities whenever the fasting month of Ramadan begins.
The distribution of food items will continue in batches, covering 44 districts under 4 local government areas in southern Yobe State.
A beneficiary said, “This aid came to us at the right time because we are in a situation of fasting with our family, and business activities have come to a standstill; there is no money, and there is no food in our homes. The availability of this aid or support has given us the courage to worship in peace, and we are very proud of this support at this time.” Said a beneficiary
