Rain was not in the plan. Rain became the plan.

The outdoor ceremony was supposed to be gardens and golden hour and Pinterest-perfect symmetry. Instead, at 3:47 PM, the sky opened.

Guests ran for cover. The coordinator panicked. The florist looked at the heavens with the betrayal of someone whose entire afternoon had just been rearranged by weather.

But the couple stayed.

They stood in the rain and said their vows anyway. Her dress soaked through. His suit darkened. The officiant held an umbrella with one hand and the Bible with the other.

And the photographs are the best I have ever taken. Because rain makes everything cinematic. Droplets catch light. Wet fabric clings in ways that look intentional. And two people who choose to stand in a storm and get married anyway are two people who will survive whatever comes next.

ok this actually made me tear up a little. my cousin's wedding got rained out last year and everyone was so stressed but looking back it's literally the only thing anyone remembers. those photos are gonna be legendary forever
