A New Definition of Dreams: Unplanned yet Real
In the heart of a land with wealth untold,
Lies a crisis, quiet but bold.
Once a joy, now laced with despair,
Pregnancy whispers, “Can you prepare?”
Gone are the days when hope would sing,
Of large households and the love they bring.
Now economics sharpens its knife,
Cutting deep into the fabric of life.
Families falter, burdened by strain,
Counting the cost in a world of pain.
Food, schooling, and a roof overhead,
Each choice a tear where dreams have bled.
The blessing of children, a once-proud call,
Becomes a question—have we it all?
Not of love, but of what they’ll face,
In a world that challenges their rightful space.
Culture whispers of guilt and pride,
"How can you let this dream subside?"
Yet the heart knows the battles ahead,
For mouths to feed, for futures to be fed.
The pulpit speaks, faith steady and strong,
Yet reality hums a challenging song.
Beliefs may clash with wallets tight,
Turning joy to cautious fright.
Yet hope emerges, a guiding hand,
Through knowledge gained, we understand.
Family planning, once taboo,
Now a beacon, a path anew.
Policymakers hear the plea,
For subsidies, support, and strategies.
Empower the people with tools and care,
To lighten the load they’re forced to bear.
In this redefinition, strength takes root,
Balancing choices, the deepest truth.
That love can thrive, even when small,
And dignity rises, embracing all.
So let us honour each family's choice,
With compassion and with amplified voice.
Through crisis, let resilience bloom,
Redefining dreams in a brighter room.
