Poverty
Poverty! Poverty! Poverty!
A terrible plaque on humans.
You make life unbearable.
Depriving man and his offspring from good things.
What a man needs to enjoy is withheld.
And so man becomes nothing because of poverty.
Poverty makes man nobody's friend.
And disasters and troubles do not mend.
Poverty, and you make men helpless.
And sometimes, poverty makes men lose their life.
When will poverty carry its baggage from our compounds?
Poverty leaves only left over and crumbs on the table.
It makes a penny less valuable.
Poverty,you cause dissatisfaction and disorganization.
Poverty makes men Ignorant and sick.
Poverty, you take children away as slaves.
Only bringing shame, sorrow and pain.
It takes over to an extent that our voice is not heard and recognised.
How our days are afflicted because of poverty.
And so when wealth takes control, our security is threatened.
Poverty is no man’s friend.
And so I wish poverty endless imprisonment.
To have in /for satisfaction is much better.
