The Potiskum local government area, under the leadership of its executive chairman, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has achieved great success in providing quality drainage systems that have alleviated the threat of flooding for a long time.
The chairman installed new drains, upgraded and renovated old drains in the town, which is also an attempt to prevent flooding and bring about changes to ensure the well-being of the residents of Potiskum LGA.
The chairman called for the prevention of any environmental problem ranging from flooding to soil erosion, calling for the prevention of dumping of waste in drains and the prevention of felling of trees, which would pose a threat to the health and safety of the entire Potiskum LGA communities.
