CRICKET AND THE JUDGE

Hid and chirping all night
From the Sahara to Savannah
In the soil where you find shelter
Your melody,is an earsore.

I searched for you yesterday
Dug until you were apprehended
At my court where you appealed,

Your honor!
My name is cricket
A defenseless creature,
I was only searching for shelter.

Shelter!
At the expense of my comfort
What about the cracks?
The leaf litter or even beneath stones.
But I, for seven days.

Your honor!
Pardon my intruding
This would be my last.
I chirp to attract the female
When found again, feed me to the dogs.
Please your honor.

Why would you chirp everyday?
Because you need to mate?
My ears had no rest in days
If i grant you freedom,
You will still be back again.

My dog and you,I shall leave
My judgement, I have given.
