Philippians 1:6 - Study Notes

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

BREAKING IT DOWN:

CONFIDENT (Greek: peitho) - to be persuaded, convinced. Paul is not hoping. He is certain.

BEGAN (Greek: enarchomai) - to commence, to make a beginning. God started this. Not you. The origin is Him.

GOOD WORK - not a perfect work. A good work. Good includes the messy chapters.

COMPLETION (Greek: epiteleo) - to bring to full end, to accomplish entirely. He finishes what He starts.

Note to self: I am not a failed project. I am an unfinished one. And the One who started me does not abandon His work halfway. The in-between is not a mistake. It is the process.
