In Folklore, folk dance, folk songs... for all the folks in all the nooks
at home and overseas, African music unbound.
Oh, the drums, gongs, trumpets, flutes, koras, djembe, mbiras, balafons...
Run the octave of our roots and Origins
and run the beats of our genealogy and history
Folk dance, Dance for the folks in all the nooks
Folk tales, tales for the folks in all the nooks
Folk songs, songs for the folks in all the nooks
African music unbound, exemplar of our culture, tradition and genealogy

The Swahili, Amharic, Oromo, Bantu languages portray our roots
Africa! One common a folk in history, geography...
Are we doomed or damned?
In culture, tradition, our ancestry, roots, origins..?
Black is just a race!
Black is just a colour and not a state of the mind
And those musics which would have been a glimmer of hope for the continent international...
Neo-colonized and western in lyrics and beats
Are vulgar, nude...
Far from the culture, are an aberration; a sounding brass
Dehumanizing and Corrupting the mind
Nonetheless weird,
has won the heart of the youth
And neo-colonized.
Has our culture dwindle?
Has our music lost its taste unbound and loosed?
We are the very hope and doom of our race, continent...
We are the future to be or the future in ruins...
To be rebuilt or destroyed
Let the chords of unity be the music unbound to be sung and forgetful of our differences, wars, trafficking, apathy and xenophobia
Let's sing out unity
And be our very music and dance!
Our very Roots, Ancestry and Origin.
