The endless race, the selfish deeds.
In quiet moments, the truth will show,
One thing is needful, for all to know.

It’s not in riches or lavish feast,
But kindness shown to the very least.
In seeking wisdom, in faith upheld,
The needful thing is the soul compelled.

So pause, reflect, and cast aside,
The fleeting vanities born of pride.
For in the stillness, you’ll clearly see,
One thing is needful, for you and me.
