Not every boat needs to be a superyacht.
Some of the best days I have spent on water were on boats that had no business being beautiful but were beautiful anyway because they were loved.
A fishing boat in a quiet harbor at 5 AM, rocking gently on its mooring, engine ticking as it cools, smelling of salt and diesel and honest work.
There is more soul in a working boat than in a hundred polished hulls that have never seen a real wave.
Respect the boats that work for a living.

man this hit me right in the chest. my uncle had this beat up old skiff he’d take me out in before sunrise. smelled exactly like that - diesel, salt, old wood. thing leaked half the time but i dont think ive ever felt more alive than those mornings. perfect boats dont make perfect memories 2 days ago
