Yes it happened
To an acquaintant in my vicinity
This thing I thought people have outgrown.
I think the last time i saw such was in a movie and it was a Nollywood movie.
They keep calling on different occasions to remind the family of their coming to take the properties that belongs to there late brother who died a year ago.
This woman was traumatized. She told her eldest son about the development,he became angry and ready to raise the roof.
'Calm down my son,leave everything to God'
'Please don't tell me that, as grown that I'm no body will take our inheritance'
His brothers and sisters were in support but the mother was never a fan of conflict,she craved for peace not dispute over material things that everyone will die and leave behind.
'Why didn't they called me as the man of the house to tell me such rubbish? I would have dismantle their soul with abuses, rubbish people who want to reap where they did not sow'. He said angrily.
Few days later, they called the Elder's son wife and informed her of their coming,she informed her husband,he got angry then left the house and await their arrival.
After some hours he received a call from his mother asking him to come home,he rushed home all intoxicated. He entered,finds one of his uncle sitted comfortably with legs across another,he gazed at him hatefullty then retired to a seat.
'You are welcome' he said.
They began.
You are all aware that we are to share our brothers properties that he left behind and we have decided to share it fairly,i have made up my mind to take his house in Abuja which is already for rent,Ali will take the car because he promised to give him the car when he buys another one,the family will keep this house'.
'It will never happen, infact you are very stupid, you are an idiot,all of you idiots' the Elder's son thundered.
His mother try to console the situation but couldn't,the brothers and sisters were all in support that it would never happen and over their dead bodies.
'So you have grown wings because you are now grown, you think you can talk to us any how' one of them said.
'You looked at us, declared us fools, I will never take this insult from you,and you must do what is needed' the other said
'You lied, Never! Leave our house right now'
'We will but you will see'
'You too, you will see,you will see. All of you, nonsense'.
