Hello Neighbours,
It's almost weekend and I'm sure you're getting set for a time to relax, unwind, ans get refreshed. Your home feels warm and safe, however certain locations provide you with the music, the vibe, dance, people and friends. Journey with me as we explore nightlife across Africa that would tickle your weekend plans.
Nightlife in certain regions of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is filled with thrill, fun and most interestingly, live music.
The Jazzamba nightclub is a famous spot known for featuring and reviving Ethiopian jazz. Interestingly, Jazzamba was the first club in Addis Ababa to offer concerts every night, with a particlar emphasis on jazz.
At Mama’s Kitchen, live music, injera and pizza are all served under one roof and can hold 250 people. On Monday nights various Nubian Arc musicians, connoisseurs and artists all troop in to have a feel of good food and music.
Another popular live music venue in Addis is the Jupiter International Hotel, which has locations in Kazanchis and Bole, both featuring talented jazz bands on a weekly basis.
Reggae lovers and fans often have feel of Jamaica at the Jams Club just a little distance along Yod Abyssinia at Bole Medhane Alem.
What else could one ask for when the weekend calls. If you're in Addis Ababa and care to have a fun-filled nightlife, you can visit any of the aforementioned locations.
