Nigeria Police Force takes on new strategy as IG posts new DIGs to key departments

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has announced the deployment of newly appointed Deputy Inspectors-General of Police to various strategic departments within the Nigeria Police Force.

The move, according to a statement via its X handle and signed by the Force Public Relations Officers, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, aims to optimise the expertise of these senior officers and strengthen the force’s operational efficiency in tackling evolving security challenges.

The postings, Adejobi said, will see the newly appointed DIGs taking charge of key areas, including criminal investigations, intelligence, and operations.

He explained that the move will enhance operational efficiency and strengthen the Force’s ability to tackle evolving security challenges.

The IG expressed strong confidence in the leadership capabilities of the newly posted DIGs, emphasising the strategic importance of these appointments.
