The Deputy Speaker Delta State House of Assembly and member representing Ethiope East State Constituency Rt. Hon. (Olorogun) Arthur Akpowowo Esq during the second reading of the delta state 2025 appropriation bill christened "Budget of Fiscal Consolidation" Said, "the governor has shown prudence, strong will and transparency by telling us the source of funding the 2025 budget which is Organic, what this implies is that, the government will not borrow a dime to fund the 2025 budget, apart from the huge budgetary provision for capital expenditure which signifies growth and development, the budget also shows the governor's great concerns for food security, social investment programmes, parliatives to cushion to a great extent the effects of the nation economic woes and eradicate poverty, I want to also thank His Excellency The Executive Governor of Delta Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for giving deltans the best, in terms of governance, development, accountability and transparency".
Rising on the floor of the house to support the 2025 appropriation bill , the deputy speaker further said, "I have the mandate of my constituents to wholeheartedly support this bill because it's timely and speak rhythm to growth, development of my people and delta state, Mr Speaker I support this bill and I urge every member to also support the bill with speed of light".
The 2025 appropriation bill christened 'Budget of Fiscal Consolidation 2025" was read for the second time and reffered to the house committee on finance and appropriation to report back on Tuesday 26th day of November 2025.
