National Cattle Sellers Association of Nigeria Commends Hon. Salisu Muktari for Providing Water, Improving Businesses in Potiskum LGA

The National Cattle Sellers Association of Nigeria Potiskum local government chapter commends the executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, for improving many aspects of the Potiskum local government cattle market.

The association commended him for his focus on improving businesses in the local government area and his prompt response whenever they approached him with any of their problems.

In his efforts to improve business and industry in Potiskum local government area, the executive chairman expanded and repaired the old pumps in the cattle sheds and also installed new pumps to provide them with enough water to feed their animals in order to improve their business.

The chairman also provided a pile of soil to fill the cattle loading area at the Potiskum cattle shed, following the deterioration of the area due to erosion and soil contamination, which was causing great difficulty for them when loading cattle to be transported to other parts of Nigeria for sale.

During our visit to the place, one of the cattle sellers, Alh. Usman Dattuwa, told us:

"Of course, this local government chairman, Hon. Salisu Muktari, is playing a vital role in the revival of our business activities. The most interesting thing is the way he looks at and responding to our problems urgently.

"We are facing the scarcity of water, and we need an urgent response because we, our animals and all living things in this area need water to survive, and the executive chairman responded to our problems. He now provides enough water that we can use in abundance without any problem." Alh. Usman Dattuwa said

He also added that "what the chairman did for us is commendable because it seems that he has improved our business by providing us with peace of mind during our business hours. Now if you look, you will see that he has brought us enough soil to fill the place where we load our animals, these are not small things for the entire cattle sellers across the entire local government because it is a challenge that has afflicted all of us and the livestock farmers at this time." Alh. Usman added
