MY JOURNEY TO BECOMING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT, CHALLENGES IN THE INDUSTRY AND SKILLS I HOPE TO DEVELOP IN THE COURSE

I first started my journey to becoming a virtual assistant three years ago. I took some free courses online and I implemented them through the people around me though not for long. I was scared to go out of my comfort zone and the challenges seemed unsurmountable so, I settled back into my 9 to 5 which was being an Administrative Officer, and that is not to say I abhorred my job, no, I did not, but if I had confronted my challenges by opening myself up, I would now be in a position where I felt better about my future. After all, it was just about putting my daily job skills and expertise to use on a wider scale.
I would say the challenges I have faced in the industry, first was my inability to be as determined as I needed to be to persevere. I allowed myself to be overwhelmed by the world outside and everybody’s opinion on what a virtual assistant should be, the skills and set-up needed to begin that I felt inadequate. Maybe my skills were enough then, maybe they weren’t, I guess I will never know but if I had taken the courage to continue on the path, where would I be now? Anyway, my skills are better now, so I hope to begin again with the Nircle Virtual Assistant Professional Course.
Other challenges I saw as insurmountable were communication barriers, as I did not feel I could properly communicate effectively at the time to properly relay information clearly and concisely so as not to be misinterpreted.
The skills I hope to learn from this course would be technical proficiency, time management, marketing and branding, problem-solving skills, and of course adaptability, communication, and client management skills.
This Virtual Assistant Course will help me greatly to overcome the challenges in the industry and excel in this field as I acquire the necessary skills to thrive. It will serve as a valuable resource to equip me with the tools and knowledge needed in this evolving profession. #virtualassistant #learningtoyourarticle
