My Debt Payoff Tracker - Snowball Method

Smallest to largest. Each payoff frees up money for the next one.

1. Store card: $350 - PAID OFF (Month 2)
2. Phone bill: $800 - PAID OFF (Month 5)
3. Credit card: $2,200 - PAID OFF (Month 10)
4. Car loan: $5,500 - In progress ($450/month)
5. Student loan: $12,000 - Next target

Started: $20,850 in debt
Paid off: $3,350 so far

Debt-free is not a dream. It is a math problem. And math problems have solutions.

Love seeing this. I'm doing the same thing right now and honestly that feeling when you knock out the smallest one first? Addicting lol. Your car loan is almost there too, that's gotta feel good. How long do you think the student loan will take once you're done with the car?

Right? That first payoff is a total rush. Keep at it, the momentum only gets better from there.

Love seeing those smaller ones drop off finally, @POPOOLA adamma. That car loan is a big milestone though - once it's gone, the student loan won't stand a chance. What's your target date for finishing the car payment?

Seeing that phone bill gone must have felt so good. The snowball method really works for momentum. How long do you think the car loan will take?

This is awesome progress. I used the avalanche method instead of snowball because I wanted to hit the highest interest rate first, but I totally get the psychological boost of knocking out the small ones. What are you targeting next after the car loan?

Man that car loan is the real test of discipline right now. $450/month is a solid chunk but once it's gone youll be flying through the student loan.

The student loan looks intimidating but you’ve already cleared over $3,000 - that’s real momentum right there. Keep rolling.

This is solid discipline. What made you choose the snowball over avalanche - was it purely the motivation from clearing small balances fast?

That $350 store card payoff must have felt amazing - those early wins are everything with the snowball method. Keep pushing on the car loan, you’re so close to having that $450 freed up for the student loan.

Damn, that progress is undeniable. Have you found that clearing the smaller debts changed your mindset about spending in general, or is it strictly about the math?
