MY BEEF WITH WILLIAMS SHAKESPEARE

When I first came across an excerpt of the novel, "Romeo and Juliet", I refused to believe that it was going to end like that.
I spent nights, thinking about my preferred end of the book, which Shakespeare bluntly refused to realize.
What could have happened if Juliet's death was delayed a bit?
Why did Romeo not wait, to confirm if she was truly dead?
To affirm the story, I decided to read the novel and I did, more than a couple of times.
Yet, it was the same ending that I got.
To ease the anxiety that was building in me, I decided to see a movie about the book and my goodness! Nothing changed!
I still got the same ending. In fact, some movies made me more pissed than I already was.
A lot of things ran through my mind and it made me have a personal beef with Williams Shakespeare....lol.
You'd probably say right now, "How can she have a beef with someone who she hasn't met or doesn't know of her, either?"
Well, that's the beauty of having a reader who doesn't just read with their mind but also with their heart and thoughts.
I'm a critical reader!
First, I'll read to be entertained but after a first read, you should get ready for my analysis.
So, my beef with Shakespeare was on, for as long as I can remember, until I took up Writing as a career.
Now, I understand that Shakespeare had undoubtedly played the master with his famous work and he held his reading audience to a standstill.
And that's exactly what every Writer or Author should understand when doing that job.
Give your readers a run for their money!
Let the heart of your reader, beat so wildly with just a glance at your work!
Don't make it easy!
Don't be predictable!
If you must, k!ll that character, so you hit climax, while going in sync with the beating heart of your reader!
Now, you want to ask, "Has my beef with Shakespeare ended?"
I'll share that with you when, you sign up for my upcoming masterclass!😁
