Hello SouthAfrica,

My ears have harkened to the incessant calls for exploration from the bountiful beauties that lace the walls of your streets. Well, let's undertake this journey to discover South Africa, particularly, Johannesburg.

I believe you're aware that Johannesburg is the capital of South Africa and a home to internationally recognized street paintings which perfectly marries nature and creativity.

In several suburbs spread across Johannesburg, the walls of the street have replaced canvas as artists now express their creativity and visions on sides of homes, shops and city landmarks.

Public arts are gracefully installed for the admiration of all and sundry. Precints like Maboneng, this spot located right in the center of Johannesburg is filled with different kinds of street art, from murals to graffiti, tackling everything from social issues to simple beauty.

The most popular place in the Maboneng Precinct is the Main Change building, which features the famous ‘Bird’ mural by an artist named ROA. This area isn’t just about street art; it also has markets, art galleries, and studios that add to its artsy atmosphere.

Other areas booming with public art installations include: Soweto Street Art, Braamfontein Murals, Newtown Graffiti Gallery, Faith 47’s Works and Jeppestown Art.

If you'll love to discover Africa, I'll advise and suggest that you Visit Johannesburg in South Africa. Tour guides are available to walk you through the streets laces with rich murals and graffiti that reveal the history, culture and beauty of its peoples.
