I was just chatting with my four beautiful sisters and our eldest sister asked, "have you watched the movie 'She must be obeyed'?" Bam! I remembered I had stumbled on a Facebook ad of the movie and me sha, I have weakness for great movies.
I quickly asked for the link and went straight to download.... And here am I to do a little ad or should I call it review?
Anyway, let's dive right in...
For me, 'She must be Obeyed' by Funke Akindele and JJC skills is a Master Piece.
From the casting, to the sound, picture quality, storyline and all.... I love it.
Funke Akindele is a gifted actress!
Funke's quest and insatiable desire for fame made her do the unthinkable. She was ready to sacrifice anyone and anything on the altar of her quest. Even her family. Though it was fueled by her childhood experience of verbal abuse from her Mum but it wasn't enough excuse to go all the way.
Lateef Adedimeji was a patient cousin who remained loyal until....
Nancy Isime, the smart PA that was bullied but still remained calm and her time came....
Oh! Rachael Okonkwo (Adaeze) was blinded by her love for her family and forgo her bright future for the now...
Dear Waje was the only person who truly saw through "She" I love her strong spirit of women supporting women💪
Oh! How can I forget the laughter Bishop Imeh Umoh and Mike Ezuruonye give me with a deep comic relief?
I laughed so much that I cried... 😂😂😂
Hmmmm! Akah Nnani was the "Derenle Edun" of this movie and he did quite a great job.
Well, I can go on and on but let me allow you enjoy this movie.
In all, be careful of the supposed blessings you see in the lives of some celebrities on social media and tap. You don't know the true story. I know its tough sitting on that waiting bench at the hallway of life waiting for your turn, trust me you will get there at the purposed time because 'life is not a spoon'.
Also, no matter the pressure, never sacrifice your future on the altar of temporary pleasures of the present. Check a contract before signing. If possible, seek legal counsel.
So, go feed your eyes and learn then come and buy me noodles and suya with apple flavoured Nutri milk😋🥂
