MOTHER!
Mother! Mother!
Why is the world so cruel,
What did I do to deserve this,
For such a young heart
I am, treading through,
These muddy waters,
Everything’s so tough,
Mother!
Didn’t you say I should bear it,
See the world in new light,
How is that possible,
For someone who grew up,
In such a merciless and cruel world,
Hated for no reason,
Surrounded by wolves,
Ready to pounce in,
When they get the slightest chance to,
Mother!
They say am crazy,
Why?
Because I want to leave this world?
Don’t get me wrong mother,
I don’t want to die to leave,
If dying can solve everything,
Bring back love in here,
Without a doubt I would,
But dying solves nothing,
I want to just leave,
This place hoping I would,
Find another better place,
To live, having it in mind,
That there are better humans,
In other planets, but for this,
They call me mad, a lunatic,
Who’ll never realize his dreams,
Mother!
Every creature in this world,
Has the right to fight for,
A chance to live in peace,
Away from the dirty hearts,
Of the wolves pretending to be,
Sheep, but their hearts dark,
Darker than the darkest nights,
Mother! Mother!
Don’t get me wrong,
Am not in any way,
Blaming you for bringing me,
In this cruel world,
After all this is the pay,
Of the debt you had to settle,
Mother!
I understand it now,
Be a crazy person or a lunatic,
Have dreams that seems unachievable,
I will strive, and one day, one day,
I promise you mother,
This place won’t hold me back,
Neither will be like what I despise,
And am going to fly, mother
Higher than they thought anyone can,
Because am not them,
Mother,
This is my promise to you,
Mother! I will live,
For the people, as few as they are,
They did give color to my dull world,
For them I will live, for you I will,
To repay the favor, Mother!
