MISSING THE OBVIOUS.

Puppies confined, because their mother lays weak, and their suckling unkind.
Their cries, a heart-wrenching shriek; scratching, biting, desperate to be free.
Their pleas broke my heart, and freedom's door was opened; could they see?
We, too, are trapped, in struggles and fears,
crying out for help, through all our tears.
But God's answer may come in unexpected ways,
and we, like puppies, may miss freedom's gaze.
We strain and strive, but God's already provided
a way out, a rescue, if we'd only decide
to trust, to have faith, to see His guiding hand,
and recognize His voice, in a foreign land.
"God, I know that was you," "You did it" we'll say with glee,
when we look back, and see His hand.
Learn to trust, to have faith, to see
God's provision, His love, His plan for you and me.
