DAY 24 - MURALS AND STREET ART OF NIGERIA
I believe the colours of a mural bring vibrancy to life.
A mural is any piece of graphic artwork that is painted or applied directly to a wall, ceiling or other permanent substrate. Mural techniques include fresco, mosaic, graffiti and marouflage.
There aren't too many mural artists in Nigeria but the ones that exist are super awesome.
Some Muralists in Nigeria
Olu Amoda: Born in 1959, Amoda is a muralist, sculptor, furniture designer, and multimedia artist.
Erhabor Emokpae: (1934–1984) was a muralist, sculptor, graphic artist, and painter.
Agbo Folarin: A mosaic artist whose work includes the "Spirit of Man in Flight" at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.
Jimoh Buraimoh: An early mosaic artist whose work includes pieces at the University of Ibadan and the National Museum Benin City.
