KIVURI VARITSA NE KEGESHI
This is a Maragoli proverb Maragoli people. Maragoli people are part of the larger Abaluhya tribe of Western region of Kenya. They occupy their ancestral home of Vihiga and Sabatia Sub-Counties of Vihiga County. They are also found in Hamisi Sub-County of Vihiga County. Due tp migration they are to be found in Migori County, Kakamega County, Nandi County, Trans-Nzoia County and in cities across Kenya. They are also to be found in Kigumba Uganda and Mugumu Serengeti in Tanzania.
This proverb reminds the Maragoli people that in our daily hustle life, there might be someone who might not be successful in the hunting game, while there might be another person who will catch the hunt. Hence the one who has the hunt no wonder how little the meat could be, he has to share with the one who was not successful. This encourages the spirit of socialization among the Maragoli people that when one is in a position, he/she has to assist those who are weak in the community.📍Kenyatta Beach, Kenya
