The sun's rays are not withheld from a plant for a prolonged period, with the intention of accumulating light to shine it all at once in a surprising display, because the plant would likely perish in the meantime. Love, much like a plant, necessitates consistent nourishment, however small, to remain alive. Delaying too long for that ideal moment when the stars align in perfect harmony to make a grand gesture would be futile; the plant would have succumbed by then.
