LOVE MENDS THE CRACKS

#poetry

We are vessels, fragile clay,
fractured by the weight of days.
Lines of sorrow split our skin,
yet still, we find the strength within.

You hold me close, my breaking frame,
and whisper soft, unspoken names.
Your arms become a quiet thread,
that stitches what the world has bled.

Your cracks align with mine, the same,
two broken souls without the shame.
Bandaged wounds, yet hearts still beat,
healing in the place we meet.

For love does not erase the scars,
it gathers them like shattered stars,
and in the holding, fierce and true,
My broken pieces cling to you.

The broken pieces seem like they find strength in each other. Love truly does heal even when hearts are shattered.

This piece reminds me of Corinthians 13v1-8. The power found in loving, in genuine love is utterly indescribable. When this kind of love is at play, its eyes blind to every probable negativity!
