Love in the City of Lagos follows the story of Julius and Josephine, two young professionals living in the bustling city of Lagos. They're both searching for love, but their ideal partner doesn't seem to exist- or so they think. They navigate the ups and downs of dating, they begin to realize that sometimes, the qualities they want in a partner don't come in the package they expect. Will they miss their chance at true love, or will they learn to look beyond the surface, their physiques and their ugly pasts?

Episode 1: The Elusive Mr. Right

Julius sighed, staring at his phone as he swiped through yet another dating app. He's doing this for more than twenty times in the first twelve hours of the day already. He is doing this for the Why was it so hard to find someone decent in this city? There's no dating app he hasn't visited. Julius is an Anambra man by state. He was a successful businessman, decent-looking, and charming (or so he thought). But every date he went on seemed to end in disaster.

Meanwhile, Josephine was having a similar frustration on the other side of town. Josephine is from Edo. She was a beautiful, intelligent, and witty young woman, but her dating life was a string of unfulfilling encounters. She has everything she needed but she isn't still happy, not even a bit. Love has refused to smile on her way. She longed for someone who could keep up with her sharp tongue and appreciate her quirks.

As Julius and Josephine went about their days, they couldn't help but feel like they were stuck in a rut. Little did they know, their lives were about to intersect in unexpected ways.
