I saw it too late and rushed forward to try and slip through as the door swung shut hard and fast. Unfortunately, it shut with a resounding clang, sealing my fate. It was almost magical how a tiny breeze that left the softest touch on my cheek turned into a tempest. The breeze, which could barely lift a leaf, now bore down on my helpless soul with unrelenting fury. I told myself, "No!" I looked for an opening, some space to squeeze through. It couldn't be completely shut. After trying to open the unyielding door multiple times, reality set in. The door was completely shut; I had been eternally friend-zoned. She smiled and gave me a brotherly hug.

Bro, you're an eternal winner but a loser anyway. What a twist of fate.

Wow, that was a really poetic take on the situation! The metaphors for both the door and the breeze were spot on. It gives such a eerie feeling about being friend-zoned. The poem paints a vivid picture with its nature metaphors.

I could relate to that. Sometimes you think you can fix things by pushing harder, but it just keeps closing the door. Good thing she was there for a hug.
