Life took a turn alright, that the decisions we made together are shameful and miserable,
The life we lived and thought to love so much wasn't a life either,
We were quite the messy wreckage, ruined even before we met
You, irreparable and me, with quite the PTSD
I might have had to make some choices, me or you...
And for a change this time i might have chosen differently
I chose to not choose you, to let you fall because your heavy weight was crashing me
You'd let me drown, break, suffocate
You swam but not without me
You know I was afraid yet you never held my hand or showed me how to breathe underwater
Always you, always about you
This time I chose to choose myself with no guilt
I was done chasing your karma, I was done taking blows for you
Life took a turn alright, and I wish it did earlier.
