#Lets hope again
My people grope
We have eyes but seek vision
We hunger for hope
Even as tiny as a firefly's emission
My brothers are weak
With mighty muscles like the elephants
Our hearts broken, now strength do leak
All we have is but unity like the little ants
Who dares speak without a tongue
We pray for a choice but truth is lost
Enslaved in father's land with mother's tongue
Only the rich can pay, for the freedom is cost
Little children now challenged to be adults
Working hell no, for a single meal
Insecurity upon the less privelleged name the assault
Adding insult upon injuries we pray to heal
Mother's love tested with pain and hunger
Father's protection flickers in the eyes of it's recession
My country killing its cheerer
We've all lost our peace to their possession
Suicide is now becoming a cultural gameplay
Crimes like daily greetings
We meet everyday to discuss this crazy dismay
While some men sits at the leisure of their feelings
Now all that keeps me happy is the night sky
And the free ocean waves
Cause whenever I ask fate why?
I am reminded that we all can never be slaves.

description: This poem is a tragic representation of the chaotic climax of the Nigerian people from being arrested from our basic rights down to our basic amenities. with every line a factual depiction of the pain every average Nigerian goes through from dusk to dawn in the eyes of this tyrant leadership.
